Consumer Complaints

We Tour America remains unwaveringly committed to providing an unforgettable vacation experience at a fraction of the standard cost. In the past months, we at We Tour America have taken steps to explain our business practices so that you, the consumer, has a better understanding of how this service works. This has been in response to the consumer skepticism and complaints that we've encountered on a small number of internet forums.

Now, We Tour America would like to take yet another step in resolving said complaints - We'd like for you to tell us about them. If a telemarketing agent was rude to you, if you feel that our services weren't explained clearly, or even if you'd like for a person to answer the questions that we've answered on this very blog rather than trusting the text published here, please contact us:

Lisa Gentry
lisagent@tampabay.rr.com
(866) 418-2665

Give us a detailed account of the instance in question: name, date, and location of the event at which the registration form was filled out and entered, name of the telemarketer as well as the approximate date and time of the call in question (if possible), along with any other details that you deem relevant. A complaint will be filed and an investigation will be conducted in order to prevent future occurrences. In some cases, the complainant may be compensated for their inconvenience.

Customer service and satisfaction are taken very seriously at We Tour America - Allow us to prove it to you.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Why are credit cards needed to purchase our vacation package?

Potential consumers are sometimes hesitant in giving their credit card as a method of payment over the phone for WE TOUR AMERICA's vacation offer, however, there are TWO main reasons why We Tour America prefers this method of payment.
Number One:  All hoteliers require a credit card to be on file in order to check in. Simply put, you can not check into a hotel without one. Hence, We Tour America needs to know "Up Front" that a buyer has said credit card prior to sending them their travel conformation documents for arrival and check-in. It's that simple.
Number Two:  The use of a credit card when making a purchase "over the phone" is by far the safest method of payment available. Everyone knows that all credit card companies protect their card holders against any and all fraudulent charges.  If the product or service is not as represented, then the card holder has 100% PROTECTION from the card company, and therefore is at ZERO risk. It is NOT like sending a check or cash, where the consumer has absolutely NO recourse in the event of fraud. Again, It's that simple.
Not to mention, the credit card is the most convenient means of conducting commerce.  It is for these simple reasons that We Tour America requests a credit card as the means of purchasing our vacation offer. We certainly are NOT going to risk our eight-year merchant relationships with Master Card, Visa, Amex, & Discover over a few hundred dollars. This is why we offer a 30-Day Cancellation Policy if you are not TOTALLY comfortable with your vacation purchase.

Kind Regards,

Understanding We Tour America's Phone Sale

Because we are a corporation that produces most all it's revenues via a "phone sale", prospective consumers are often wary, and some jump to the (very) incorrect conclusion that we are not a legitimate entity.  However, We Tour America has been a Licensed & Bonded Florida Seller of Travel, "In Good Standing w/ NO Unresolved Complaints" for the past seven Years.  We have traveled thousands of satisfied families to 35 of the most popular destinations within the United States, Canada and Mexico.  You can review many, many testimonials on our web site (www.wetouramerica.com) from those families who have actually traveled with We Tour America.  Keep in mind, it is Florida State Law that the ORIGINALS of said Testimonials must be On File with the State Dept. of Consumer Affairs, such that consumers can actually verify a specific testimonial directly with the state, so they know for sure that these are actual (real) testimonials.

For example, We Tour America contacted consumers who had filled out a registration form at a Major County Fair in the beautiful town of Timmons, Canada.  A few of these Consumers contacted the Local Police Dept in Timmons to see if the Dept could find out if we were a legitimate company.  The Police Dept. commenced an "Investigation" into We Tour America on behalf of it's constituents.  The Dept. conducted their Investigation, and made public their conclusions, which were made Public via the BELOW Press Release.  As you can see, the Timmons Police Dept rightfully concluded that We Tour America is in fact a bona-fide, legitimate travel services company based here in Florida.

We understand consumers sometimes may have a difficult time doing business over a phone, as most credit card transactions are usually done in person, where there is a more "tangible" relationship w/ the merchant.  We at We Tour America can appreciate such prudence, which is why we like to share with you the below findings & conclusions of the Timmons Police Dept.

Remember, you have NOTHING to lose, as ALL credit card companies protect their card holders against ANY & ALL fraudulent purchases.

Here's to enjoying a first class getaway at a super saver price.  Nothing like driving a Cadillac for the cost of a Hyundai.

We Tour America contacts only those who register and qualify.

The ONLY persons We Tour America ever contacts are those who fill out a registration form in their own hand writing at a major show or event.  This form is for additional information regarding our "Orlando & Beach Getaway", complete with two FREE passes to ANY Disney or Universal Theme Park.  A scanned copy of said registration form CAN BE SEEN BELOW for your review.

As you can see, on THE FRONT of the form, in bold lettering, we urge the consumer to "SEE REVERSE FOR MORE EXCITING DETAILS".  Furthermore, the back of the form states that "ALL qualified registrants will be contacted by phone", and that this "Vacation is NOT a contest, lottery or FREE offer".  Hence, as anyone can see, We Tour America goes out of It's way to disclose the full terms and conditions of said offer, and does NOT attempt to misrepresent this offer in any way.

In fact, if you were fortunate enough to meet our strict qualifications, and this vacation were "FREE", then we would be required to get your Social Security Number, and send you an IRS (Internal Revenue Service) 1099 form, and you would be liable to pay the full federal taxes on the retail value of the vacation, which is approx. $2,200.  This is better understood by the taxes that must be paid on the vacations which are "won" on the Price is Right with Bob Barker.

It is important to me, as the president and owner, that all of you realize the TRUTH, as "The Truth will set you FREE!!!"  Thank you for your Consideration.

We Tour America is all about honor.

The BELOW correspondence is from the Congress of The United States of America.  It is the congressional nomination by Congressman Marc Lincoln Marks, of the great state of Pennsylvania, for the appointment of John Hummell IV (President of We Tour America) to attend The United States Military Academy at Westpoint.  Only TWO persons from each district from each state in this country are nominated by Congress for such an appointment.  Why do I post this document???  Certainly not to "brag", but rather to give potential consumers of our services a "feel" for the integrity of the president and employees of We Tour America.

We Tour America gets negative search engine results from people who have NEVER traveled with our company, yet they belittle us simply because we conduct business over the phone, and require a credit card as the means of payment (mandated by ALL hoteliers to check-in).  Heck, we have even caught competitors making such postings, such that they can hinder our sales, and therefore attempt to hire away potential Sales Representatives.  I feel it necessary that potential buyers of our vacation offer realize this company is run by a man & employees of extreme integrity and pride.  Hence, you should equate our product with ONLY the best.  Thank you for your consideration.

We Tour America and The Better Business Bureau

We Tour America has a "C Rating" with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).  Well, through all my years at school, and even now with my two boys in school, a "C" equates to "average".  Yes, we would have all loved to have an "A" or a "B", but a "C" was a "C".  Nobody ever really got in big trouble for having a "C".  It is what it is.  HOWEVER, I never liked a "C".  I always wanted to do my parents proud with an "A"  I was an Alden Scholar throughout my college years at Allegheny College (Meadville, PA-Class of 86'), and always took great pride in these achievements.

Hence, when the BBB gave my company of eight years, We Tour America, a "C" Rating, it really ate at me.  But I guess I have come to understand the reality of the matter. We Tour America is simply NOT like other Companies typically graded by the BBB.  We are a Company that creates 100% of It's revenue via a "phone sale", which requires credit cards (over the phone) as the method of payment, as well as taking a timeshare tour in return for the substantial discount on the vacation package.  YES, you read that correctly.  How would you like to run a company that encounters those three facets when making every sale: A phone sale, which requires obtaining a credit card over the phone for several hundred dollars, and requires taking a timeshare tour.

It is sometimes difficult to efficiently express the features and benefits of your product when doing so over the phone, as the potential buyer can not see you, and is used to seeing and feeling a product or service while purchasing.  As well, we all have always been taught to never give our credit card over the phone, even though a credit card is the SAFEST and easiest way to pay for any product, as the credit card companies PROTECT consumers against any and all fraudulent purchases.  Lastly, the early days of timeshare did not make for the most reputable of industries, although today's timeshare marketers are companies such as Disney, Hilton, Marriott, and other extremely reputable companies.

We Tour America makes approx. 550,000 consumer contacts per year, while partaking in the above described Sale.  We only have 35 complaints with the BBB, and ALL of them have been satisfactorily resolved, and NOT ONE of them was from a buyer that had actually traveled on our vacation - and we have traveled thousands.  I remember in school most of our tests were graded "on a curve", and I, as president, hereby assign the "A" grade to We Tour America and it's dedicated employees, because few other companies operate in an industry such as ours.

Thank you all in advance for getting to know We Tour America better.
